TIME (YOURS) IS OF THE ESSENCE

If money fuels the band program, then our volunteers are the oil that keeps the gears spinning. We really need some of your time, whether it’s a lot or just occasionally. Volunteers do a zillion things to help the Husky Band, like Chaperoning, moving the band’s equipment onto the field, designing props, providing refreshments to the students, or making sure that uniforms are organized for each event. Please consider volunteering when opportunities are announced.

Come out for football games, competitions, and parades.

Your student is about to invest a lot of time and energy into becoming a better musician and band member. Being there shows him or her that their participation matters to you, too. Besides, it’s a lot of fun.

Parents and Guardians wishing to work with the band as volunteers or chaperones must complete the WCPSS Volunteer registration process.

Registration must be done annually and takes a few minutes to complete. Volunteers are requested to use a school’s designated computer to submit their registration on the WCPSS Intranet site. Pro tip - Be sure to bring your driver's license and know your social security number before going.
